Ever since 2000, the Bubble series has offered distinct and captivating fashion, combining quality and innovation. This winter, Corum Watches Kuwait presents an original unique piece.
Encircled by the rose gold case, the hollow eyes of a skull stare at the wearer while the flying tourbillon within the wide-open jaw brings forth a hauntingly shiver. The hollowed eyes of the skull exuberates the dark interior beneath the dome of a glare-proof sapphire. Gilded in gold, the exposed micro-rotor tourbillon is set against a charcoal backdrop, an effect enhanced by a strap made of black alligator. The somber tones of the timepiece form a dark and unforgettable elegance.
And of course, the highlight of this watch needs to be the domed sapphire crystal. The crystal itself is 8mm thick, and the overall thickness of this watch is a huge 18.5mm. The big domed crystal gives the watch considerable wrist presence, but more importantly, also creates distortion to give the view a unique look that changes and shifts (distortion) determined by the angle which you have a look at the dial. Ironically, the crazily domed crystal additionally affects legibility somewhat, but I would argue that skeletonized dials aren’t the most legible to start with. What’s more, Corum Watch Box also intends to deal with legibility problem with oversize leaf-shaped hands. The motion within is the calibre CO 082, which is based on Eterna’s caliber 39. Eterna is also under the Citychamp group, and you can learn all about the calibre 39 in detail here. Corum doesn’t disclose what kind of treatment and finishing has been achieved into the motion except that the bridges and plates are color-treated. As I mentioned previously, there are 3 colorways in complete. The ref. L082/031612 comes in a stainless steel case, with white Super-Luminova palms, and a movement finished using blue plates and bridges. The ref. L082/03165 comes at a black PVD stainless steel case, with green Super-Luminova hands, and a movement finished with matching green plates and plates. And finally, we’ve got the ref. L082/03166 which also comes in a black PVD stainless steel case, with purple Super-Luminova hands, and a motion completed with matching purple plates and bridges. All 3 colorways will include a blue vulcanized rubber strap with a pin buckle.Corum Bubble watches are entertaining and often employ a cartoonish design element, and also the newest Bubble 47 Squelette watches we’ve got here are one of the wackiest yet. They are not for everybody, but if you’ve got deep pockets and a sense of humor, they could be right for you. The brand new Corum Bubble 47 Squelette watches in vivid colors are priced at $6,000, which can be $2,300 less than when it was reintroduced in 2015.
