As the 2016 European football championships kick off, Hublot, the official timekeeper of the grand event, unveils a limited edition timepiece—the Big Bang Unico Retrograde Chronograph Euro2016. Announced as the ‘official licensed watch’, this timepiece was launched by football legends Pelé and Diego Maradona at the Palais Royal in Paris. The watch also marks the watchmaker’s 10th year of association with the game.

The Big Bang Unico comprises a distinctive time-telling function that displays the time, from normal to stoppage, for a football match. It records the halves, extra time and the additional time, apart from the normal.In the honour of the host nation, France, the dial of the chronograph features colours of the French national flag.

This chronograph’s case is made using satin-finish black ceramic and it boasts of dark blue alligator straps finished with red and white stitches. The Big Bang Unico also features an interchangeable strap mechanism, which gives one the liberty to change the watch’s overall look. The several options offered by the watchmaker include straps that reflect the jersey colours of Switzerland, England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
