What We Like: Drive De Cartier Watch Collection
Why We Like It: After making its debut at the SIHH earlier this year, Cartier’s new men’s watch collection called Drive De Cartier was back at the Pitti Uomo menswear show hosted in Italy last month. Demonstrating a distinct style of horology, this new collection by the brand features three watch styles in steel, pink gold and flying tourbillon version.
The Drive De Cartier collection features common watch specs among the three watches, like the signature guilloche dial, blue sapphire winding crown and roman indexes adorned with sword-shaped minute and hour hands. The watches demonstrate cushion-shaped dials with patent leather straps in black and brown. They host a transparent case back which displays the watch’s movement. While the basic timepieces in steel and pink gold feature mechanical movements of 1904 MC & 1904 FU MC , the tourbillon version functions on a manual 9452 MC movement. The Drive De Cartier flying tourbillon timepiece is a stunning masterpiece crafted by Cartier’s most experienced horologists, yet again registering the watch brand’s contribution towards fine watch-making.
Flaunting Cartier’s in-house movements and horology skills, this new watch collection is rumoured to be the brand’s best ever creation.
