Professional-grade Divers’ Watch – Oris Depth Gauge Chronograph

Oris has  a unique diving watch -Aquis Depth Gauge. It was considered as one of the most innovative dive watches ever made.In other words it was the most affordable Swiss mechanical diver that had a non-battery operated depth gauge. Besides that it looked pretty amazing, too, especially in its latest DLC disguise.

The simple yet ingenious solution that it incorporated for measuring depth was an small inlet in the watch’s crystal at 12 o’clock, leading to a channel milled into the outside edge of the crystal covering the dial. Front of the oris diving watch

As the diver descends, air inside the channel is compressed which allows water to pass through the inlet and into the channel thus creating a watermark that corresponds to yellow depth gauge indications marked out on the dial, so that the diver has a clear depth-reading.Front of the Oris professional divers' watch

Apart from the cool depth-meter function, further divers features of the Aquis Depth Gauge Chronograph include: a heavy-duty, multi-piece 48mm Stainless steel case with a screwdown crown and chrono-pushers that are protected from accidental knocks by a Oris’ crown-protection system,a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with a black ceramic inlay and dive-time scale, a tough 4mm-thick double domed Sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides – twice as thick as an average dive watch’s crystal and a water-resistance to 500 meters.Side of oris diving watch

The Aquis Depth Gauge Chronograph is powered by an automatic movement, with a chronograph function and date window at 6 o’clock. It has a black dial with applied markers and nickel hands filled with white SuperLumiNova. It’s a professinoal Oris diving watch.
