SIHH 2017 Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks 2017 Collection

Swiss watch manufacturer Audemars Piguet has introduced the Royal Oaks 2017 collection to mark the 20th anniversary of its novelty, the Royal Oak chronograph. Unveiled at the SIHH 2017, the collection is a capsule of seven refreshed versions of the classic timepiece.

Of the seven, four models come in pink gold matched with a similar metal bracelet or an alligator strap. The remaining three are made using steel and finished with stainless steel bracelets. The newer versions boast of a 41mm x 11mm case and its dial has a Grande Tapisserie pattern on it.

The watches are automatic and have a 40-hour power reserve.

Lending some background on the journey of the Royal Oak: It was first introduced in 1997 with a 39mm case. In 2012, the watchmaker increased the size of the case to 41mm—a size which has continued till the latest version.
